The company is interested in producing vegetable oil extracted from cottonseed, and different products like: Margarine, soap, cottonseed decorticated cake, hull and all kinds of linters, utilizing the newest means of pre-press, solvent extraction, bleaching and distillation.

"SICVO" is one of twenty two food companies, related to the General Organization for Food Industries which, in turn, related to Ministry of Industry.

The Co .which was established as per decision of Minister of industry No. 271/66 dated 10/07/1966, is always looking forward to enlarge, modernize and develop product line within an ambitious plan to offer high quality products and competitive price on both levels of the local and external markets.

The company's yearly product energy of pressing  is increased from /160/ thousand ton of cottonseed to reach/253/ thousand ton, because of the production line's development

and because of using the oil extraction and bleaching units in 1993.

Responding to the policy of modernization and development, thanks to the wise instructions of Dr.Bashar Al ASSAD, the President of the State so that, the public sector companies are the pioneer in Syria.
